Happy Trails: Journey Through The Psalms Of Ascent

15 Days

The 15 Psalms of Ascent (Psalm 120-134) were traditionally sung by pilgrims as they made a mountainous journey to Jerusalem for the annual feast, and are now songs for us to sing in our journey toward our true home in heaven. During this 15-day reading plan we will dive into these pilgrim songs, focusing on one Psalm per day, with the help of short thoughts, and provoking questions for each Psalm.

The Songs of Ascent

7 Days

Psalms 120 through 134 are known as the songs of ascent, an ancient mixtape for God’s people journeying to Jerusalem to worship the Lord. Solomon built the temple there, and the glory of God filled that place. In this plan, John Greco explores six of the songs of ascent, providing application for our modern-day journey as image-bearers of God. Scripture quotations used within the plan are taken from the NIV.
