passover meal training

The Passover is not an event or a cool Jewish festival. It's not a great story from the OT. The passover is THE moment. A tipping point, the moment where Jesus began his final work as a Rabbi, God, Savior and King. In the passover we experience what the sacrament truly is.

The bread and the cup are not simply something we do as a tradition or a commandment. They are calling us to a specific place. A specific moment. A specific time.  They are a picture of what God is willing to do to show us his love, so much so that he asks us to experience it as often as we are able.

When we take the bread and cup Jesus is talking about a specific piece of bread. A specific cup. Both of those images are loaded with significance and implication in fact they appear in the midst of a meal that is laced with significant imagery from beginning to end.

If you would like to learn about this and share this significant moment with your family and friends, come to the passover equipping night on either April 1st or 2nd where you will learn about this beautiful night through experiencing a Passover meal and asking questions.

21 days of prayer

Prayer changes things. We see it time and time again in the scriptures as well as the testimony of the church that when people begin to take prayer seriously, God moves and things change. It is the discipline of prayer that we seem to struggle with. How long do we pray? What should we spend our time praying about? Do we pray alone or with a group? Do we pray out loud or silently? How do we keep from being distracted? These and a lot of other questions loom about the actual practice of prayer.

This guide is a tool to use to focus your prayer time as we move into the next year. These 21 days are here to simply begin the habit of prayer in your life. Each day we will give you a topic to be thinking about in your prayer time and a verse from the Bible to supplement your prayer journey. May we all be truly blessed as we move through the next 21 days together.
